"An Adventure 65 Million Years In The Making." This section is about the movie that was one of the best movies of all time (i still do think it is).Jurassic Park.It is also about the novel by Michael Chrichton. I advise everyone to buy it as it is one of the best books in the world. It has scenes that where not in the film but inspired scenes in The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3. There is also a dinosaur section with information on all the dinosaurs in the film. Introduction: Ok, if you are a idiot and do not know what Jurassic Park is you are on the right and wrong site. I mean if you just started liking it then it is good you came but if you like it and don't know what it is about then it is all about dinosaurs.ok. It is all about a theme park that has been created by billionaire Dr John hammond who puts genetically created dinosaurs into it. It was based on a novel by Michael Crichton and in 1992 it was made into a motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg. it was a worldwide box office hit. The toys were brill and the games were awesome. It is the film and book that is the reason this website exists. The offical Website is JurassicPark.com. About the Film. JurassicIsland is THE place to A brief history of the Jurassic
Park toyline The first toy line that started it all. The Classics. Kenner, now a division of Hasbro, got the license from Amblin Entertainment to produce the toys for one of the best films ever and produced a toyline that has gone right down in toy history. This toyline is made of 2 series and they both lasted through 1994. Series 1 appeared in retailers March-December 1993. Series 2 were only sold in the USA (and other countries but not the UK) and appeared in retailers around January-October Series 2 were and are much harder to find and even featured toys which remain unreleased. The JP toyline is the base for all the different JP Toy lines and are undoubtly the best. JP Toys revolutionized the world of toy production with stuff like the revolutionary concept of "real" skin - a new rubber technique, which made the toys very realistic. And also "Dino Damage" bitemarks or wounds, allowing pieces of skin to be removed and reveal bones and muscle structure. JP toys were also packaged with a Collector Card. Series 1 toys came with a ARTWORK collector card with artwork drawn by Brain Franczak. Series 2 toys came with a MOVIESTILL collector card with scenes from the Jurassic Park Film. It was not the human action figures that made the Jurassic Park toyline so unique. The dinosaur toys are to thank and are the ones that brought the line to a yet unseen level. All the larger dinosaur toys had amazing sculpting and paint jobs, and the revolutionary concept of "real" skin - a new rubber technique, which made the toys almost frighteningly realistic. Also several came with "Dino Damage" bitemarks or wounds, allowing pieces of skin to be removed and reveal bones and muscle structure. Each dinosaur was marked with the famous "JP" logo and a individual number to tell fakes apart from the real thing. For many these were their first and favorite dinosaurs and are definitely my favourites. In Series 1 there were 11 dinosaurs (17 including the reissues). Series 2 had 11 dinosaurs. Originally, the 5 human figures appeared with a black background behind the bubble then after a month of production the background was changed to the ever-popular "sunset/jungle" background. In addition the original 5 figures were based on artist renditions;head sculpts were later changed in Series 2 to more accurately reflect the actors/actresses' likenesses. The series 2 line features the original 5 human figures repainted with new head sculpts (to better resemble the actors/actresses from the movie). "Dino Trackers" and "Evil Raiders" - a cool spin-off of JP- also made its toy debut. Overall, the Series II line toys are definitely harder to locate than the Series I toys and fetch higher prices in the collectors' market. |
